Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

What do you think about the truck rallys in chrome? I can potentially do argent silver, chrome, and raw steel so you can powdercoat them to your liking. Cool thing is, with the chrome you wouldnt need the rings. Or would you prefer just argent silver.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

Yeah I'd be interested. Definately no more than $850 for a set. Steel for sure, and they'd need to use stock center's as everyone else is saying, and have some trim rings available. Also, available in 5 and 6 lugs. I would personally need the 6x5.5! We need to see these things!!

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

Just please offer multiple backspacing.

Nothing worse then finding a cool wheel & then seeing they offer 1 generic backspacing.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

I would FOR SURE be up for a set. Even 17's or 18's would be ok. 20's would be the best option though.

My vote goes for steel, and in the same argent silver finish. Also made to accept the stock hub caps that bolt on, and made to accept trim rings because they just would not look right without them. Maybe you can do a CAD design or something to test the look with people on here.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

I saw somewhere once some Ralleys that simply chromed the outside edge of the wheel and left the center painted. That would eliminate the need for trim rings... just a thought.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

I'm in...depending on price...if you also made them for passenger cars 5 x 4 3/4...you would have a ton of guys putting them on chevelles, impala's, and nova's etc....

Can you also talk to BF Goodrich to make the lettered Radial T/A's in 20's to have that classic lettered look?

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

Just an example of a 20" steel wheel.... I had a 20" steel spare on my '03 Dodge. I recall seeing one of our trucks with a set on it. These might work today for guys wanting chromed or blacked out steelies. Different bolt pattern of course which would have to be overcome.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

The only problem with a dodge wheel is the incorrect bolt pattern. Either have to re drill rotors axles and drums or buy adapters which make the wheel stick out too far for anything lowered much. Well, that and they're ugly IMHO.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

How about some wheels like the stock 15 x 6.5", except in 17x7 for the front and 17x8 for the back...solid steel, not rallies...no holes in the wheel, just a plain hunk of steel in 5x5, with the correct hub bore, and the same offset as the factory? I'd pay 800-1000.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

Interested in seeing some mockups for the 20's.
**
Please dont make a 20" oute rim to match an existing 15" center though...
have you seen some of the 18" cragar? they have a fat ugly outer rim to match the 15' center? They dont look good at all... imo.

Re: 20" Truck Rally Wheels

Thinking more on this I think that a stock steelie looking wheel that would accept a dog dish or poverty cap would be ideal. Look at what all of the patina rides and the slammed trucks are running. Not rally wheels but factory style steel wheels.

The main advantage I also see to this is that the larger center caps that fit these wheels will fit the scale a lot better than the smaller caps that fit on a rally wheel. Also you don't need a ring for a steelie....you could offer them powdercoated white or a raw finish for those wanting another color...

think about it. Most guys running raly wheels think anything over 15" is ugly. Most guys running 20's would pick a steelie over a rally wheel 100% of the time....
