new and need help
how is everyone. i have a situation that i was hoping someone could help me with...but first ill tell everyone a bit about myself.
i am origionally from Washington and Oregon but i am in the Army and stationed in FT Hood texas. i got back from Iraq a few days before Christmas because i was lucky enough to be on the advance party. anyway my question is if anyone can tell me how to read the option codes in the glove box so i can find out what gears the truck has in the diffs (the rear went out the day after a 2200+ mile road trip from oregon to texas. it has 4X4 so i have to match the front and rears up. anyway thank you for your help. |

You may be able to get the number off the rearend and find the ratio Seems to me it's about six inches out from the center towards the passenger side

The best way is to pull the cover and read the numbers off the ring gear. You never know if a PO changed gears. Good luck

I agree,pull the cover and count the teeth is the only way to know for sure.

well thanks for the suggestions. i posted the same question in the suburban only side of this forum and one of the guys know how to read the codes. thanks tho. and thanks for the welcome.
