85 Silverado sunvisor screws

Anyone know what is behind the sunvisor mount to support the screws? Have several that are loose. Do they screw into sheet metal or some type of clip that can be replaced?

They are clips. At least that's how they are mounted on my 86' (no headliner in mine though). 3 u-clips.

Re: 85 Silverado sunvisor screws

That is the problem I have 2 of the screws no longer hold. Now I have to figure out where to get the clips and how to replace them under the headliner.

Re: 85 Silverado sunvisor screws

remove sun visor 3 screws .

pop out clips .

install new clips .

install 3 new screws .

just that easy . no need to play with headliner .

Re: 85 Silverado sunvisor screws

These are smaller clip nuts than found at hardware store. I had to rely on some great guys here to get a handful to finish my headliner.

Re: 85 Silverado sunvisor screws

Take them out & hammer them flat & see if they tighten up. Cost is $0.00
