67 door handle difference

Is there a difference between GMC 67 & 68-72 outside door handles?
If so, any input would be greatly appreciated.
I’m restoring a 67 GMC and want the correct door handles.

Re: 67 door handle difference

Nic, the difference is the angle that the bolts go into the handle. I don't know if you can use 68-72 handles on a 67 door or not, but someone will chime in with more info.

You can use them with some modification to the door. To the best of my knowledge the '67 only handles are still not being reproduced.

Re: 67 door handle difference

there have been pics in the past showing the difference. if I was home now id post them for you. basically when you hold them eye level you can see the way the screw angle is different between the two. that's about it. that and part numbers.
