Unhappy Dumb thing to do

I left my hatch open and tried to drive out of
the parking garage. The handle cought on a
light cover on the celling and snaped it off flush.
Two problems:
1. Can't get it open.

2. Need to find a new handle with key.

Any help will be Appreciated !

Buy a garage door T-handle from a hardware store for about $8, cut the shaft to length, and move over your internal mechanism. Cosmetically it will differ and you will lose the flapper door in the key hole, but I've done this to my Blazer and it works. I know of no better source at this time.

Good luck!

BTDT

To open the hatch try pulling on the relay rods from inside with a needlenose vicegrips til it clicks, then do the other side.
Golden State sells a replacement handle, but it's not OEM and requires some modification.
