Hey Tim, the reason the reissue is so expensive is becaust the guy that bruoght it back out(Model King) is an independent, he had to pay royalties to AMT to rent their molds so he could bring the kit back out. Otherwise we probably never would of seen this kit reissued...

I just picked up this kit today online from amazon.com $34 bucks . looks cool u guys might want to check it out my wife gave me it as a early chvristmas present not a 72 jimmy but close enough!

Screw Amazon reviews. Who are these people? These kits are the identical copy of what all models have been since plastic model kits came out around 1960. If anyone doesn't like the kit they don't know what a kit is or is supposed to be, or they are spoiled born of internet people who know nothing other than expecting everything to be made to suit them, return what doesn't please, want it all (for cheap) and want it now types. Maybe they could pay a model building service to deal with the hardship.

These reissued kits are identical to original issues from 45+ years ago
