They'd prolly like Hugger Orange or Red-Orange then. Perhaps you could talk them into Ochre?

On the color issue my girls would not be opposed to a blue like this one.

Here are some more pictures. Extra rolling (well not right now) frame. I took the front springs off of this frame to use on the jimmy. This is a 71 frame (i think). It has front drum brakes though so i am not sure. Did all blazers come with leaf springs in the rear, or did some come with trailing arms like the pickups?
Any way thats why i think it a 71.. how would i find out what it is?

I also obtained another exhaust manifold due to the original one breaking from heat stress. Got some poly bushings for the front springs to replace the ones on the jimmy

lol, that Ochre color kinda grew on me but that blue would sure look nice.

Nice build. I'm originally from Del Rio. It's nice to see fellow Texans working on blazers. Looking good. I'm no where near skilled enough to attempt rust removal/repair myself. Good job.

Ochre is one of my favorites. Like you, the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.

thor, I agree when i first saw the ochre I thought, why would any one paint a truck that color, but as I look at it more, its not so bad, actually kinda like it.

I sanded and painted the springs from the other frame and put the new bushings in. good to get something done....

The black and white photos give it a timeless look, just like our blazers.

You're making great progress! It's great that you are painting each item separately. I've seen so many vehicles' undercarriages painted all at once, suspension, everything. Me no likey. I like the detail you are putting in to this one.

Well, I have my POR15 and I put the Cab support, the front pillar the reenforcement for the floor and the floor in yesterday. I was tired of not seeing progress so i hurried it up. mistake!!. I will take my time on the other floor board. I should have held the floor down with some screws and other holding devises before i began to weld. Live and learn. its not too bad but I will need to do better on body panels that will not be covered by carpet. Here are some pictures of the progress.

I have finished the passenger side floor and rocker panel. It lined up pretty well and the best thing is the door still closes... I was worried there for a little bit. here are some pictures of the progress

Ok, finally got back to working on this thing. The front springs are in, but I found some problems while taking it apart. Seems the front shackle frame mount was damaged due to, I guess a combination of 4 wheeling and no maintenance from the PO. Any way on with the pictures.
You can see in the first picture the hole is no longer round. The new one next to it is from an extra frame i bought. the second picture is the front hanger and the holes in it are not round either, its replacement is pictured beside it, also from the extra frame.

I am also working on the passenger side rear fender, It had some major damage and I could not get the wheel opening to look right because it was crushed flat. I decided to replace it instead. The inside wheel well that attached to the outside sheeting at the front of the wheel well had to be lengthened due to the part i bought not being an exact fit.
