Re: The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

So this is where I'm going with my instrument cluster for the Ponderosa. At this point, the only question that I'm struggling with, is that I would like to integrate a boost gauge and tachometer into this cluster . I have a space on each side that I could put them into, and still make it look Fairly Stock. Any thoughts? This was just put together to See what it would look like. All gauges will be restored.

Re: The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

Very cool! Yeah those two pods on either side of the Speedo would be ideal placement for other gauges. Nice touch with the body colour match on the dash.

You guys planning on doing a 1960 to 1963 crewcab?

here is how it was done on the big trucks, you could do a boost gauge with the same font as the air gauge in this pic...

you're gonna need some sort of hidden fold up ladder under the bumper, you won't be able to check the fluids either!

Well, if everything goes to plan, the bumper should come down to about halfway covering the upper roller. Thank you @warnindustries for your support on this project.

Re: The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

I'm so glad that I decided to go with a silver bumper. I think Chrome would have been a little too much bling. Everything South of the bumper will be black except for of the roller fairly. This badboy should be going to the pain body shop next week.

Thought you guys would enjoy a couple engine Bay picks. I have a couple things left to do. Turbo sock, temperature sensor switch relay for the fans, secure the dipstick, Run the radiator overflow tube And install the WARN control unit.

Re: The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

Catch the Video on our Facebook link below:

Just finished up installing the throttle pedal for the Ponderosa. Most of you will recognize it as a 69 through 72 Chevy throttle pedal. Slightly modified, but yes. For those of you that notice the holes around the radio knobs, look the other way! Somehow we missed Them, but we're going to be putting a nice set of Chrome rings to cover them up. Yeah, it pisses me off that we missed it. This is one of those times I just have to make lemonade, and move on. The motor has only been running for about 5 minutes, not even warmed up yet.

Re: The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

Well, when you have this kind of horse power, And obviously this kind of traction, you definitely have to have traction bars. Otherwise you just make pretzels out of your leaf Springs. Didn't see anything out there that looked right for this build, so we just went ahead and built our own.

Nice Job on the traction bars.
Those are Tough.
Will there be step bars that are custom built also?
