69 c20 ride
I've got a 69 c20 that I've decided to use for my hauling rig, and have two questions the first is that it is a coiled rear would I be better off with leafs or will this suspension be stout enough? Question 2 is directed at what my coils should actually look like the ride height looks like it has Bern altered by heating and compressing the coil springs to lower it right now it rides lower than my 69 c10 all help is appreciated)

Re: 69 c20 ride
Coils should be fine depending on how much load you want to haul. They make an overload leaf for the coil system and/or you could add some airbags. The load increase ones, not the lowering ones.
It sounds like all new springs should probably be in your immediate future so you know what you have. I used my '70 GMC C2500 to tow my car hauler and tractor with, and it worked great. Added brake controller, good shocks, and class IV reciever hitch. I had 3.54 geared Dana 60, TH400 and a 402. 402 had a mild cam and duals on factory manifolds.
