Re: zinc plating top hatch hardware

I'd also recommend re-phosphate coating (Parkerizing) for the parts that received this from GM: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=114

Re: zinc plating top hatch hardware

One thing I didn't think of Pete that I should have Parkerized, because I believe it to be the correct finish, was the bucket seat mounting hardware and tracks.

Re: zinc plating top hatch hardware

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. I hope to be finished with restoring my 72 K5 in a month or two. I will post some pictures of it when I do and see what you think! I could never have done it with out the help from all of you. Again, thanks drillrod.

Re: zinc plating top hatch hardware

I wonder what the process would be to zinc plate at home?
I've anodized aluminum in the past, and was successful with clear anodizing but had difficulty with colors. I now powdercoat, but would like to hear if any members have plated at home before.
