Well it looks like the two ball has a representation of the trucks second life, I'm good with that. My buddies asked if that's what it stood for and I said it was the blue colored ball.

Composite decking cut to length and set in. I'm digging that look of wood color that's aged in the sun. Waiting on 1 1/2 stainless strips to go between.

Also got the tires changed over and put on. 235/75 15 on 6 1/2" van wheels and 255/70 15 on 7" truck wheels. I like a softer ride. I still would like wider rear tires but that will come after I'm driving it.

Nice! Gotta ask, did you have prior painting experience before your blend work?

I do have painting experience and have painted many cars, boats, trucks, lawn mowers. I have never tried this type of blend before and now I have that checked off. The only way I no how to do this stuff is by doing it. Try everything and anything. I have done every bit of this build myself excluding some sand blasting on the frame.

Re: 67 long box

Door seals and doors on, still have to touch up the door bottoms where I did some patching. Now to finish fit the fenders and cowl. The rest is bolt on.

Got most of the front end on and lined up. That reconditioned grill emblem looks great on there.

Re: 67 long box

front bumper on and cleaned up the floor mat, gave it a coat of vinyl paint to make it look new with the sill plates. Daily progress gets it closer to driving.

Looking at doing a sunken spare in the bed so I have it mounted but still able to put a tonneau cover over the bed.

Love the spare mount idea, wanted to do it in a swb but it wouldn't go low enough for the effort. Go for it Derek, I would like to see it done for the fall ancaster show!

Good to see you've found your lighter , I looked & didn't have - Bob

I have also been contemplating this sometime down the road.

Re: 67 long box

2 inch lowering blocks fabed up with the same ends as my trail arms. I can see it if I crawl under the truck, But I know it's looks cool. I didn't put tubes through the holes so I welded in a piece of flat bar inside the middle parallel to the holes. This should stop any crushing of the 2x2 HSS.

Re: 67 long box

Picked up all the spacer bars for the bed. 1 1/2 x 3/16 flat bar. Little bit of added weight in the rear. Drilled 132 holes in them today. Still to redrill all the cross members to match. Made the drill press into an auto feed with a bungee cord and duct tape.

If you don't mind can you pass along what product you used to repair the dash pad?

Great build I especially love the fuel filler set up.

Thanks, I used Evercoat polyester putty. It's a two part spot putty with hardener. You will have to scrub the dash with a chemical cleaner to remove grease and dirt. I used a scotch brite pad with acetone. Roughed up the surface with grinder so the putty will stick. Primer to seal and recover with vinyl. The gas filler was an idea I had but wasn't sure about it, so just build it. This truck will never see winter so I don't have to worry about moisture in the lines and there's a 2" down slope to the tank.

Re: 67 long box

Finished up the rear end mounts and the shocks are ordered. Put in the two inch drop blocks in and it looks ok, But then again it's a driver and no one can see them. Still drilling holes, only 150 or so to go for the bed install.

Re: 67 long box

Re-drilled the cross supports to match the new pattern. Welding nuts in them to use Allen cap screws from the top. I keep adding work but this will look neat I think.
