Can anyone ID my rear diff

Hey there all, i just bought a 54 Chevy Panel. I'm trying to get some parts sorted out. I know that these came with 6 lug axles. My rear has 5 lug. I am just wondering if I have the original housing and different axles or if it a totally different housing all together. The two stamp codes I have are L2 22 and 3725899. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know. lol What does that mean? I have a picture here when I scouted it. The owner then had it pulled out. So far the research I've done is suggesting it came out of a 53 something or other.

Re: Can anyone ID my rear diff

From what I can see it looks like it is from a 58 to 64 Chevy passenger car and it is a open drive line.
See what you can tell at the rear of the transmission, a picture would be worth 1000 words !!
