With that underslung part at the rear of the bed I'd be tempted to build storage.

You can still have the elevated bed floor appearance overall, but hinge the rear portion (or the whole thing!) and have 4ft wide by whatever the length is for all sorts of things. Your battery, maybe a small spare or just tools. could be VERY cool. Just an idea. YMMV

What's up guys it's been a while but got another piece of the puzzle tonight. Picked up a small block 350 from a good friend of mine for $250 got it home looked up the casting numbers and it says it could either be a 2 or 4 bolt main but it's definetly a 350 from 77-79 so looking forward to making some big strides.

nice, can't go wrong with a sbc. but if you got time, I'd tear it all down and re ring, bearing and gasket it. Every sbc I have got used, has had a major issue. at very least, just do a compression test on it bf you spend too much time on running it. Just my take.

99 that's the plan man I wanna tear it down quickly for a go through and make sure everything is up to par. Today I scored a th350 for 150 bucks and I swapped the guy my visor for a core support he had so I made some progress today. The crunch is getting really real 139 days until our wedding

What's up guys been trying to make some steady progress over the past few weeks tonight I got the rear tabs all welded in and mounted up all the link bars and put the re end through itits travel

Yes sir I've got 3 more bracing pieces for each link bar mount they are gonna be plenty strong when I get them all in I'll post pictures whenever I get back in the shop (hopefully Tuesday) huge perk that my best friend runs a laser table at work and his work allows home to cut stuff for himself so I just draw stuff out and he makes it.

Tonight got the rear bag brackets in place and welded up hopefully by Thursday I'll have all the bracing on the link bar tabs and hopefully get moved to the front

Recent update re doing the bag mounts on the rear with bag cups and some tube work. About to tear down the motor and start working on it. Gonna try and keep the rest of the build around 20k

Made some more progress the past few weeks. Got the motor mounts in,headers mounted, test fit the motor gotta get a new oil pan should be here on the 9th, finished up welding all the tube work from the bottom side, threw the cab and fenders back on about to do the core support then knock out the shocks all the way around. New deadline is my carshow which is November 15-17 of 2019 I think we can make it
