I don't want to mess up your thread so I'll PM you the link that I referenced. Like I said, I'm just trying to learn about the different foams out there and want to be as informed as I can when I make a purchase.

There are now two USA manufacturers for truck seat foams & one import...as compared above. You are looking at a poor description of the China foams. There are NO springs built in. China uses a wire in the foam to hog ring the centers...America uses steel rods outside the foam for that purpose. We think the rods are better!

There have been a couple small price increases...that I have obsorbed! I can still do that price, but not sure how long. Petroleum prices = foam prices! And we all know how that is going. thanks, frank

I have a new seat cover I bought from Truckseats for my 72 and my question is if I buy new foam for it does it matter what the condition the seat is in seeing I'd have a new cover and new foam. Like do the springs collapse and sag?

The only problem I have ever seen with springs, is if they break. These foams are specially designed with built in resessed areas for the springs & edges of the frames. Larry's covers work great on these.

Thanks for the info. So now I now what to look for when I find a seat. Shipping up to here will probably be outrageous unless the Post Office can do it but I think the foams are too big for them.
