Talking Ramp truck is ready for the PICNIC

Tomorrow is our 8th annual truck club picnic. It has turned into the biggest 1 day event for GM/GMC trucks in the state of SC. All years are welcome and if you anywhere near you can come look for free.

I had registered both of mine but my daughter has other plans so the 71 will not be going.
I will be taking the ramp truck though with just a skeleton crew this year only!
She does get lit up about the truck club though and she likes the shirts to.+ it's Oct so a Halloween theme is in order.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Ramp truck is ready for the PICNIC

I was planning on coming up early Saturday but was up in North and South Carolina Wednesday and the traffic on 85 south changed my mind . Truck traffic in both lanes of all that construction area was nerve wracking as nobody could get around the trucks to make any time . I dont want to go thru all that again .

Flashed,
The place is before you get to all that traffic. It's on the south side of Spartanburg. Its 3 lanes all the way from Anderson. If you do decide to come it will be worth it sir.

Andy I was there year before last in my Orange El Camino , this is one of the few clubs that accepts an Elky as a truck . I had planned on taking the 74 Suburban this time . Maybe next year I will make the trip again.

Talking Re: Ramp truck is ready for the PICNIC

We ended up with 170+ trucks in the rain! It rained pretty good a few times but over all wasn't bad. Had several clubs from SC, Ga, NC & Tenn show up. Man it was a good day. I didn't get many pictures because I was parking trucks the whole time are running down people are talking to people.

I only took a few of the gathering under the shed during the trophy awards.

Cops came and we had to do some quick talking but in the end they where cool about it. To many people but he said he wasn't going to do anything.
Here are some pictures. I wished I could load more than 5 @ a time. It's a pain to load pictures. None of the pictures of the trucks are mine.
I make some more post with pictures.

Last ones. When the cop showed up we had trucks parked in the grass. In the past 7 years nobody has ever complained. But someone did this year and they called the cops. They where very nice about it and just told us we had to get off the grass so we filled the parking lot up and then some.

Too many people? You all were probably the 'only' people at the park. It's great that people didn't wimp out. Less than perfect weather can make for a more memorable time. Looks like this was a good'un. Thanks for sharing!

Yea the state still has crowd controls in effect but we just played dumb. He was very nice about it and just was doing his job. He even checkout the trucks. They did make us move all the trucks off the grass but it was basically over anyway so it was all good. We had a great time just wished I'd had time to take pictures.
Got a nice shirt & sticker too!
