crazy squeeky belt

2006 4.3L v6 Silverado. 62,000 miles on her. never had any engine problems. I've got this crazy high pitched engine squeel that never stops. belt looks good, no cracks or nicks. I'd like to get an idea of what else to check out before just replacing parts and hoping it is the fix. any suggestions?

Re: crazy squeeky belt

i got an 06 4.3 with that same issue, started just happening in the mornings. now all the time. took it to chevy dealer, said they just needed to wire brush some pullys, just an idea. i dont if that would have worked, didnt want to spend the dough for them to do it, and havnt had a chance to do it myself. just another idea
