throttle body spacer

i was interested im putting a throttle body spacer on on 01 with a 5.3L, im installing a cold air intake already and just Ciriouse if anyone here has done a spacer and if there worth the money. thanks in advance

Save your money, T/B spacers have little to no effect on port injected engines.

the new style of vehicles the computer compastes for the increased air flow so it really make no more power

That's not really the case at all, computer doesn't have anything to do with it.

It's like clinebarger said, there is no effect on engines that don't mix the fuel with the air before the intake manifold, like a TPI or carbed engine.
If you add one to your LS-base motor, like the 5.3, it will only make a whistle sound and that's it, no power increase, NO mpg increase. And spiraling the air pattern there before the intake manifold doesn't do anything except disturb it's flow before it goes to each cylinder...
ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS!

can't believe some of these "respectable" companies are still pushing that crap and getting away with it... ridiculous.
