Re: 1967 Father Son Build

one more of the bronco stuck before the lift kit. This one trashed the C4 tranny. Truck never was right after this. Hence why it was sold for the ring.

Torker 2 intake, Mickey Thompson valve covers, 600 Edelbrock 1407 (I think I will look tonight) carb, K&N air filter and breather set, and will probably sell the 327 with only 63K on it.

however I will be waiting til we actually get the BB to list any of it.

We should be moving truck locations by the end of the month and will start working on it then. In the mean time here are some pics of my fathers showing winning (Won Starbird best in class 3 years in a row, multiple local shows as well. )

It is an original 1/2 cab Bronco done in black Lacquer with over 15 inches of depth shine in it. The other Bronco was my second 4x4 build. Converted it from full cab to 1/2. Then the Blazer was my baby. Sold it for the Bronco. Had a 400hp 350.

The stuck pic, yea never go where a truck on 40's goes when you only have 33's Made it to the bank though and then got the dif hung on a tree stump knawed dow by a beaver.

Enjoy.
Cool stuff man! Let us know when you throw up the sbc parts.

Re: 1967 Father Son Build

You talked about going the big block route. With fuel injection that can get expensive if you're not careful. It's the 'might as well do it now' syndrom

I'm going to check myself in AFTER I get my truck finished for the same syndrom. Hey, admission is the first step of addressing the problem!

Anyway, another thought on motor. In the April 2010 issue of Classic Trucks, they built a 350 small block for a little over $1000. They used a lot of salvaged parts but it did have a new intake and aluminum heads.

If you want me to scan it I can send to you. Might also be on their website by now. Dyno specs, of course with no accessories, were 418HP at 5,500 and 444 ft/lb at 3,800. For your sons truck and his first motor, sounds like it would be a winner.

Can't beat a vehicle passing down the family tree. Wait that POS 67 I am working on was a family tree pass down and it ended up as a resto.

Re: 1967 Father Son Build

Plan on it. It runs and everything. Only has an issue when the tank gets to about 1/4 and it likes to die (from what I hear) Thinking that there's water in the tank and its sucking it in or it has a bad bladder in the tank (can't remember if these trucks had an inner liner in the tank) never does it full only at 1/4 a tank. Think I should start a thread in the OK room for solutions?

I don't want to send you to another site, but may be worth a shot if you don't get much info here about the new acquisition.
