Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons

Anyone install a full sliding rag on their 2D Tahoe? I'm looking into installing one on mine. Just have to figure out how to deal with the raised roof lines.

That would be awesome! I checked with a local company and they told me they would not do them on that kind of roof.

It's a 3/4 drop with 20x8 255/45/20 & 20x9.5 295/40/20.

I've already measured it and will order online. Kits about $800. Got a buddy that's builds boats cars bikes etc that says he'll do the project. I'm sure it won't be easy because I've never seen it done.

My thought is I'll install it far enough forward that the roof lines won't matter and far enough out on the sides so again it won't matter. But it's the fact the lines run nearly all the way back to the rear doors that's the problem. The idea is to shim it with custom fitted aluminum. It'll be very slight as the raised ridges are very small. I think it'll work. Full roof sliding rag on a 2 door hoe would be SIIIICK! Always wants to do it to all my other lowered and raised duallys, trucks, suburbans. Now the time with this Tahoe.

It's depend upon your offset and backspace. I don't think I could go much lower upfront with the offset and backspacing I have now. Mine are 4.5bs and 1mm offset up front. I caught the chrome fender trim over the weekend making a sharp turn with a dip in the road at about 2mph. My old Coys where 20x8.5 with 5.25 of backspacing and they would have fit if the truck was lower up front. The issue with those was rubbing the sway bar and control arm when making real sharp turns getting in and out of my garage. The rear shouldn't be a problem with a 6"...you might have to roll the fenders. Hopefully, someone smarter than me will chime in that is running a similar wheel size with a 4/6.

I really like the wheels too. I was considering them and did a search and came across this pic on google images. Do you think they would clear a flip kit in the rear 5.5" and springs and spindles up front? Thats how I plan to drop mine.

What backspace are yours?

Thanks. Your Tahoe looks clean. BS on the front is 4.5 and rear is 5.25. If my Tahoe was 2" lower up front I'd have clearance issues. Granted, I still have the stock fender trim chrome on my Tahoe, too.

Thanks! Last truck I lowered was a 98 Silverado and I think I ran 4.5 BS up front and had to roll the fender lip to fix the rubbing issue with spindles and springs. I ran Vision 143 Torque, which are similar, but I like the ones you are running better. The Vision 143 only had a 4.5" or 5.15" backspace on the front options. I will have to see if there is a better option for me on the wheels you are running.

Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons

I had a 96 4wd a few years back and I blew it up and it sat on side the shop for a while and everybody wanted to buy it and I finally sold to a buddy and regret it ever since
