half top questions

In the spirit of the passenger seat thread I want to learn more about the half top. Was it a dealer option or something that a aftermarket company produced. I have seen about 2 types that seem to pop up alot. The one with the rear sliding glass and the one without. Also it seams the divider comes more often when the glass is a slider.

Hopefully this thread can get a couple of post with pictures.

Hum, I thought they were aftermarket dealer options and the divider came with all the half tops.

The factory assembly manual shows a bulkhead assembly, not sure if it is for just converting your Blazer into a pickup or if has to do with a half cab.

I far as I could see they only have the brochure for the soft top. I didn't see any pics of the half top. I was just wondering if any one had any early pics.

If it was an aftermarket thing, did the company that made them also make the ones for the scout and bronco?

I believe there were a few companies that made them. I think Glasstite was one of them.

bronco 1/2 tops

The 66-77 Ford Broncos had a factory optional steel hardtop and bulkhead. Not sure if it was optional on all 11 years but most parts interchanged. Slick looking rigs!!

Re: half top questions

I would be interested in seeing more pics of the divider. The factory assembly manual depicts such a thing so there is a chance that part came from the factory.
