Best budget disc brake rear or disc conversion???

Helping a buddy on a converted 72 4wd converted to 2wd Blazer. Purchased factory trailing arms flip kit, 6" drop springs, adjustable trailing arm crossmember for a total of a 8" static drop in the rear to include a weld on adjutable panhard bar. He currently has a decent 75 5 lug 12 bolt 3.73 c10 rear that was contemplating on converting to disc. We cant find an affordable kit or just the correct caliper mounting brackets alone to do the conversion using astro van brakes. What rearend choices do you all recommend that can be used that are budget oriented and are preferably narrower than the 75 truck rear, that come loaded with factory disc brakes? A 5.3/4l60e is being used. Not looking to race, but want good reliability. Thanks in advance.

If you want good reliability, stay with rear drums. Why do you want rear discs? You will never notice the difference on such a light vehicle. If it's looks you're after, then forget an OEM setup because the factory calipers look like ass.

Those brackets are for a 6 lug. He currently has 5x5. Another reason for the inquire about a complete rear end swap that is already set-up with Disc and preferably narrower to accommodate a deeper dish 20x 9.5 or 20x10 rim.

I’ve considered this just because I hate working on drum brakes. Looks is just a perk in my opinion. Have you asked captain fab on the options. Pretty sure he makes several brackets.

No word from the caliper mounting bracket guy. Does anyone else sell a bracket for the square body 12 bolt rear?

How about these? I’m just wondering if everything is off the shelf especially the rotors. It mentions most of it being the case. I just want a source for rotors.

gotta agree with Hemi, they have a stock drum set up with 2 1/2 width I think or wider or taller

Did you order new cables because of a lift or just stock cables?
