U-Pol Raptor liner

Any pics of a bed with Raptor liner? a tinted color?

I checked out yotube and seen a few.

If i were to do the inside of a 72 Blazer, how much needed?

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

Scott, Upol Raptor is a DYI sprayable bedliner.
It is basically a sprayable urethane product that adds some basic level of abrasion resistance to a truck bed to hide dents and deep scratches.
Can be tinted to make some different colors.
Is designed to give a textured finish.
Provides zero rust inhibitors and will not stick to smooth painted surfaces...requires much preparation to ensure adhesion. Does NOT prevent rust on bare steel.

Not designed for interior surfaces....

What do you need it to do on the interior of your Blazer that a coat of epoxy primer and 2 coats of paint wouldn't do?

To answer your question... it doesn't matter how much is needed to cover... it doesn't belong on the inside.

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

Should have said, 'the inside of the bed. I did not meant the inside of the entire interior. My apologies.

Debating the price of the kit vs. individual bottles. With the blazer there is no head board to do and of course, shorter than the long beds I watched on youtube.

But thanks for the insight.

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

here is mine, we do the inside and the bottom of the bed, bottom of front wheel tubs, underside of the hood, and the bottom of the cab, all color matched Raptorliner. takes about a whole kit, 4 bottles to get a nice even semi thick layer in the bed, two bottles for the hood, two for the cab, and about whole bottle for the inner fenders.

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

I guess I was not clear in the first post.

That is what I was asking. I did not want to buy the kit and only use part of it and really not have any need for the remainder.

If the kit will do the bed floor and bed walls that is the route I will go.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

The UPOL kit will cover a regular truck bed and anything smaller like your Blazer, will allow you to put on a thicker finish. Use one bottle for the sides and wheel tubs, 2 bottles for the bed and the last bottle is sprayed from a 3 foot distance with the nozzle choked slightly to make the product mist onto the bed to give a more proffesional appearance.
You can't buy partial kits anyway. The activator that comes with the kit is designed to be used with it and getting a partial bottle of activator is not possible.

old57 used linerextreme on his truck....it looks great..i plan on using it on mine as well...I contacted the company and theirs can be tinted to the exact color of your truck...I think it takes 12oz your truck colors paint per kit to do it...

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

I will check this out.

As my posts suggest, I am not a professional so I have to ask the dumb questions. (And as my drill instructor always said, "Son, there are no such thing as a dumb question. There are just dumb people who ask questions". Not exactly words to live by, but....)

My Toyota truck has a sprayed in liner and I have never seen another like it. I will try to post a picture.

The pattern/texture is a little more open, the nooks and crannies are not so tightly packed. Maybe like it flowed out of the gun and laid down somewhat flatter. It is just about gloss black in color and shines like paint when washed/wet.

I would like to copy that in the bed of my Blazer.

The few shops that do the liners near here could not identify the brand or how someone ended up with that texture.

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

I used raptor liner and I'm happy with it. You can purchase on ebay.
Black Raptor liner shot out of the schutz gun that comes with the complete kit, its very easy to use.

I done my steps with tint-able raptor liner with a clear coat shot out of a paint gun.

Re: U-Pol Raptor liner

Looks good.

The last two days I have been setting up the new compressor in the old shop.

As soon as it is done I will get the Blazer back on the half of the building and start with the bed and go from there.

I bought it in epoxy primer. All the sheet metal has been done, new floors, new rocker boxes, new rockers. The guy I bought it from did a really good job on the metal work.

It basically needs to be disassembled, painted and put back together. My plan is to do it in stages, the bed first, the interior and then the outside.

Thanks for the information.

I'm a big fan of the tintable raptor liner, this a charcoal, and a blue one that I have recently sprayed.
