Rear Window and attachments

I'm attacking all the interior components of the power rear window mechanism this weekend on my 91 K5. All the channels and tracks are completely rusted away. My question is, does the window just sit in the bottom sash with the new rubber film, or do I goop it all up with weather stripping adhesive? I know gravity pretty much does all the work, but the window looks like it can pull out of that sash pretty easily.
Any info is appreciated.

I replaced mine not too long ago and I went to a junkyard and got a rust free one but there was broken glass in the channel (fun eh?) so I put on my safety goggles and broke the angle grinder out and slapped a wire wheel on it and just tore the glass up (literally). I didn't have a sash so I used some polyurethane caulk and threw it in there and put the window up and let it dry. You are right the glass looks as if it could slide out really easy with just the sash in there. The only reason I put the glass in right away and rolled the window up while it was still wet was because the first time I just let the caulk cure and the glass was on the wrong angle, it needed a little help to get ALL the way up. It sucked real bad to do it right twice I guess but now it is stronger than factory I think!!

I hope this helps. And I hope it goes easier for you than it did for me!!!!!!
