oil leak??

i just fired up my new engine and it runs good so far. i noticed a very small oil leak from behind the oil pan. a couple drops hanging on the flex plate and end of crank. how do i tell if this is a rear main seal, oil pan gasket or rear cam plug leaking. i dont think this leak is coming from the top of the engine anywhere. i didnt build the short block so...but i installed the pan and used studs a milodon pan and quality gasket w/rtv. the cam plug my friend put in and i dont think he used sealent. is this a problem?

Re: oil leak??

Just keep an eye on this leak. It's normal for a fresh engine to "weep" a little oil from new seals for a short period. Once everything gets a little broken in, this seepage past the rear main seal should go away.
