Whats two Blazers worth?

I posted this on two other threads but this seems to be the right one.

I have the opportunity to buy two 71-72 blazers.

One is a 4x4 350cu, manual. Rusty body, no top, I think it had front seats. Been sitting along time, does not run, no title.

The other is a 2wd 350cu, TH350. I have not seen it, but he said it was running but tranny was slipping so he parked it. Has sat for a couple of years. It is suppose to have all good interior and the top. He was at one time going to put this good body on the 4x4 frame but never did. He said it had rust on the hood, but not sure of the rockers and such. No title on this one either. He was only going to drive it in the pasture. He said he may be able to go back to his brother-in-law to see if he still has the title.

What would be a fair offer for both trucks?

Hard to say with out seeing them but start low and work your way up in price and use the no title thing as a bargaining tool..

Wink

From the info you provided, I wouldn't pay more than a $1000 for both, with the 2wd one being worth most of the $$.

I paid 650 for this and parted it out. I still have most of the truck (motor tranny shell and running gear) and have made 1200 bucks! Just my 2 cents.

He said he would take $500 for both. I am going to go see the 2wd this weekend. He got the 2wd from his brother-in-law, so I may still have a chance on getting a title for it.
What did you sell off your blazer that gave you $1200 and leaves you with most of the drivetrain and shell?

I wouldn't hesistate if he is asking only $500 for the pair. You can easily make 3 times the money parting them out.

I got 400 for the swampers, and sold the pass front fender, doors, tailgate, and it had a great original rear seat. I also may have the drivers fender sold. I replaced my doors and both front fenders on my 70 blazer, so I am just going to throw those doors and fenders on and make a wheeler out of this pile of crap Or maybe I will just see what I can sell this blazer for as is?? It does come with the replacement rockers....anyone??

Well I went to look at the 2wd blazer and it was a 77 model. I was expecting a 70-72. Well anyway the hood front was rusted through and a bit of rust on the fenders. Bad tranny, but good 350. Interior looked complete and pretty good. The 4x4 is as I described earlier. What would you guys pay for these two with no titles? Or what would you pay if you could get a title for at least the 77?

with the 2wd being a '77, the value is now in the 4wd. I think it depends on if the 4wd has enough parts to either part out or restore. If the body is totally rusted, there isn't much value left. However, I would think that the $500 for both is still fairly reasonable. Try talking him down to $300.
