The only concern that I would have for both the fold & tumble and snap away kits is their safety and integrity. They were designed at a time when lap seat belts were just being recognized as required safety equipment. I wouldn't want that back seat to become a projectile while driving, especially with someone strapped into it!

My kids would be in that seat. So that would also Be a major concern. But I'd look it over real well before calling it good and putting someone back there.

Make sure to duck first. If not, you would run the risk of getting the imprint of her screaming face tatood on the back of your head!

Sorry I will try and get some tomorrow been real busy but I did get a better look at it. There are pins in the floor almost like hood pins for the rear seat legs. The bolts that hold the armrest to the back of the seat were replaced with studs and wind nuts. It appears that the hinge area for the seat back is like a cam setup sort of pull out and it flips around to lay down hard to explain with out pictures. The brackets in the front look like big hinges from what I can tell have not been in it to far. There is rat dropping and urine everywhere and I think I am going to need my respirator to clean it out to get good pictures.

I am really liking this setup. Especially since usually nobody rides in the back of mine except for my dog. With it folded up, it would keep him from trying to stand on the center console too.

The 73 blazer I parted out recently had that rear seat set up in it, I wish I would have realized it was special before I sold it for $40, I would have at least took some better pics, it was the same set up with the clip pins & the posts coming through the floor on the rear brackets.

Door hinges and cotter pins - simplicity at its best

Anyone thinking of modding their rear seat to something similar might consider ball lock pins. It would keep the bed smooth for cargo loading. You just need to drill the holes and weld in the sockets. Or you could adapt the 78-91 Blazer's fold and tumble rear seat. There's actually quite a few ways you can skin this cat.

Thrush Headers with flowmaster 40 duels. 4speed sm465 manual. 4 wheel disk brakes with Inboarded rear shock prerunner style mounts and shocks.
