Bolt some lift brackets to the block where the head bolts go

Re: Engine Removal Mounting Points

I would remove one of the bellhousing bolts, replace it with a longer grade 8 bolt and a washer with it thru one link of your chain. I would do the same with one of the water pump bolts. Run your chain at a diagonal. Or if you have 2 chains, make an X with them. Most of the weight is going to be at the rear.

Those angle pieces with a hole in them you see bolted to the intake on OEM engines. Often over the #1 and #8 cylinders. That's how the factory installs the engine/trans into the new vehicle.

Re: Engine Removal Mounting Points

Then simply bolt those brackets to the block by using some 7/16"-14 bolts with washers into 4 of the head bolt holes.

Thats what I was thinking just wanted to make sure there are no spots that are a "no go" even though they seem like they would be appropriate.
