454 swap motor with th400

I have the sm465 right now and am building a 454 for my blazer. If I put a th400 in place of my 465 would I be able to slide the motor mounts forward to counter act the clearance issues? I cannot find anything on how much longer a th400 is than a sm465 and do not have one available to measure. But I was thinking if this would work out to my advantage would my np205 tcase bolt to it or would I need another one? And would the front driveshaft have to be cut or lengthened?
thanks for any help.

There is a 205 for a 400 turbo but yours is not a direct bolt on. There may be an adapter that someone offers but I don't know.

they fit, you just have to move the motor mount cross-member forward, and maybe move the transmission cross-member back, depending on the holes punched in your frame

Re: 454 swap motor with th400

There are adapters out there. I found one on ebay last year but it cost me a couple hundred bucks. The 8-track patterns are getting tough to find for the turbo 400 but their around. Advance Adapters makes a aluminum one for this application also. Make sure you have the correct length turbo 400 output shaft as there are a few different lengths....

Question with that Novak site? Is the jeep np208 the same as a chevy np208? Would that be what I have to use?
