Re: Porterbuilt forward/narrowed. VS stock control arms...

It will go lower but it will require cutting my fenders more and relocating my break booster. So I'm gonna leave it be...and put a stop to limit travel. I still need to do the other front side...
The new arms definitely gave me the clearance for turning in needed.

Re: Porterbuilt forward/narrowed. VS stock control arms...

does anyone offer 1" narrow / 1" back control arms other than PB?

I am in the market today and would love to buy the PB arms, but my schedule doesn't allow for 4-6 weeks lead-time.

Re: Porterbuilt forward/narrowed. VS stock control arms...

Those Porterbuilt arm should be on every C10 truck with a stock crossmembers and bags.
They correct the wider track width and center the front wheels I the fender opening.
Thanks for sharing!

I plan on running mine on the outside of frame away from exhaust. I will come through the frame just before rear bags

Re: Porterbuilt forward/narrowed. VS stock control arms...

They will. The clearance from spindle to x member is tight. And the lack of steering stops will take getting used to but other than that I can turn near lock to lock with 255/60 15 tires and 8wide wheel . 3.5 bs. Definitely helps with fender clearance when turning.

Re: Porterbuilt forward/narrowed. VS stock control arms...

I got a question for you. I got the PB arms installed (running 2in springs 3in spindle) after the installation it appears the front end raised up 1/4-1/2 inch. Any ideas? Will it settle after some time?

Re: Porterbuilt forward/narrowed. VS stock control arms...

Well it should not raise since they are suposed to be at the same hight on lower arm. I cant say for sure because mine has bags. I can see it maybe rasing because since the arms are forward and narrowed that the bottom mount is moved in and forward some. I hade to work petty hard to get my lower bag mounts lined up to bolt them in because of this. That may be what caused it to raise some. I have also seen the top of the spring get a little out of seat and have to settle in....other than that not sure....they move the wheels in nicely tho!
