What grease to use on door hinge replacement?
Before I spray some white lithium grease into the sleeves of the hinges, thought I'd ask around. Is there a best type to use in the sleeves and around the pin?

White grease is what's recommended, or ATF for regular maint. But yours look disassembled, I would be tempted to use #2 EP (Red Chassis Grease)

I used white lithium grease.

The shortrun advantage would be it's a thicker viscosity. The longrun disadvantage MAY be that by being thicker it would hinder future lubrication attempts when using white spray lithium or atf.

3m clear silicone paste. once you start, you will use it for everything.

I have a tube of Dow-Corning silicone lube that I bought to use on O-Ring installations, but you're right, it gets used for everything. I even put some on my lips when the wind was chapping at them the other day!

All good to know, I of course jumped the gun and used white lithium grease after talking to the resto garage guy garage that helps me from time to time. I am curious on the silicone paste, and the Lube-Ri-Plate..although that site has tons of products. Rogue, do you use any particular product? Or different ones for different applications?
