Exhaust suggestions 1949 5.3 LS

Not much room to run the exhaust behind axle. Not sure I have room to run it above axle since the 4 bar suspension, coilovers are in the way. I suppose I could run it below frame rails, under axle and straight out the back under the frame rails. Running it strait out the sides in front of the rear tire would be the easiest solution but have heard it might make the cab a bit noisy for a daily driver. Looking for suggestions for a nice sounding and performing system. Running a 5.3 with fuel injected tank under the bed so space is tight back there. Here is a side dump system from summit

This is what I'm working with

Mine run inside, and below, the frame rails and dump down in front of the rear axle. I have 20in glasspacks and the sound is a quiet deep rumble. Not loud inside the cab. It's a hotrod, anyhoo, and they are supposed to be loud! I had the same setup on my '55 sedan with Corvette 270hp 283 many years ago and liked it. Man, I miss that car....

I got a kit with ends and straights and made up the below
Mot much room but it did fit with the trailing arm suspension. I also used racing catalytic converters. The exhaust dumps just behind the rear wheel

it's always best to run the exhaust out the back if possible. there are oxides of nitrogen, condensation and other things, coming out the pipe that cause rust to start prematurely.

Thanks for the pics guys. Very nice! I can get the exhaust out the back but it will probably need to go under the axle. Any opinions on x-pipe vs h-pipe? I want a deep rumble.

An X pipe will be a little more shrill/raspy than an H pipe. If it is rumble you're after, go with an H pipe

If it is a 5.3 with a cam the x or h pipe will mellow out the sound. I did not put a tank under the back but I mounted mine in the bed.. Soon to be covered with a wood box.

Single Chamber flow masters, no cats and center exit. Over axle setup.
