Removing the Inner Rear Cab Panel on '53 5 Window?

I've got a '53 5 window that I'm working on, and I'd like to restore the inner rear cab panel, to sand and paint it.

1. Is this piece easy to remove once the seat is out and the gas tank is out? Does it even come out?

2. I assume there is some gap between the inner panel and the outer metal. When doing sound proofing and insulation, it is important to install it in this area as well?

Re: Removing the Inner Rear Cab Panel on '53 5 Window?

It's welded in and NOT easy to remove by any means. I am working on one my self right now. The thing is I believe it was installed at the factory before the roof was installed. It's wider than the door jams are across, so I don't know how it could be removed in one piece.

I was looking at a 5 window roof I have out back because someone on FB was wanting the window sections. They aren't easy to take apart right.
