EZ Wire a 59 Chevy 3100 IGN Switch?

Hey there, I am using an EZ Wire Harness, and want to wire to an original 59Chevy 3100 Ignition switch ...is it possible (I don't have the floor button starter anymore)?
I've removed a late model column, which had the key on the column, and am installing a new column (floor shift, non-keyed). I realize I need to remove the EZ Harness wires from their newer style plastic harness's and connect them to the IGN switch.
Will the EZHarness correctly connected to the old style Ign switch start and release the starter, or do I need a different setup?

Enclosed photo is the 59 Ign switch, and I color coded according to a diagram I found from the EZ Harness people. Also, I want to retain the original 1959 Ign key, which I have when I bought this truck. Help appreciated. thx Paul

Re: EZ Wire a 59 Chevy 3100 IGN Switch?

It looks like you have this style of ignition, which is made for non foot start:

I installed a similar ignition and EZ Wiring harness in my '51 yesterday with no problems. Here's the wiring I did:

Red=Bat
Purple= Sol
Orange= Acc
Brown=Ign
Pink=Ign

Also, any locksmith can re-key the ignition to accept the original key. Just take it to them before you install it in the truck.
