Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Seriously considering selling all the gravel I've scraped up with it and bagging it with the proceeds.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Before (bottom) and After (top) with 2.5" drop spindles in front, 3" lowering springs in rear, fresh shocks all around and a sbc350/th400 swap. Only took me about 2 years!

New tires are same outside diameter, wheels went from 15" to 17"

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Added some new wheels the other day, thought id update this. 5/7 drop with 20x8 and 20x9.5 with P245/40ZR20 and P285/35ZR20 Bfgoodrich sport comps. There are more pictures in my build thread. I had to add wheel spacers to the rear to get them off the inside of bed. I like the new look though.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Fastest32 I like the stance of your truck here just posted this in an other thread also

I read somewhere on this site or thread the 1.5 coils cut would give you 4 inch drop on a 64-66. doing my 64 tore front end apart and realize the spring have a pocket or are indexed at both ends. to me you could take one coil and it would fit right. how much drop does that give? I like what I see of 63 & 64 Bowties !.5 cut and chevelle springs in the rear and was thinking something similar as I have some station wagon rear springs w air bags or chevelle springs . help want to cut my front springs and put front back together next few days. ( also going to belltech shocks for a dropped truck ) thanks Joel

If you cut 1.5 coils I guess just index the top and let the bottom be where it comes out ? more I read the more people I see do this (no problems ? ) with jeep or A body springs in the rear. ( Yea I am cheep lol )

Man that's low for a static drop. Won't you bottom out on everything?

True, it is low, and it probably won't be that low in the front. I'll be running exhaust manifolds, so there's no worry about headers hitting the pavement.

I have a 62 chevy coil converted on the front with about the same drop. Do you have any issues with the 255s up front?

I have 2.5 spindles with 3 inch springs cut half a coil off. The rear is leaf springs so I flipped the axle and did c notches. Hope that helps

It was done when I bought it. Dropped spindles and 3 inch lowered springs in the front and 7 inch drop with c notch in the rear is what I was told.
