I went to go buy a 72 Burb...

It ended up being a 73! The PO did all the body and paint work in the mid 80's and never finished putting it back together. So it sat in his garage for the last 25 years.

I like it! Did you get it? If it was priced right I'm sure you could find a buyer for that.

Re: I went to go buy a 72 Burb...

Sweet find. Price must have been right.. I ran into something similar once. I live in the Bay Area of CA and I go up to OR 3-4 times a year to visit family. I once saw a 74 for sale and quickly made a additional trip back up to purchase it. 500 miles later, it was a 78- with a 305 and 2bbl carb. I was told it was a 74 with a 350/4bbl. Luckily I still wanted it and the price ended up, well, let's just say cheap.

I wanted a 74 because I din't want another "smog" truck. It all worked out in the end. The truck has a high GVW and federal smog, so no catalytic converters, no AIR injection, smog pump or funky carb requirements. A 4bbl 350 swap was easy-and legal.

That thing is fully loaded for a 73, tilt wheel, power rear window, Factory Tach too... Eaton rear diff or just a traction aid? Custom Deluxe Trim, power windows a no?
Good find.

Re: I went to go buy a 72 Burb...

I normally part out non running trucks that have been sitting for a long time, but this one has zero miles on the body and paint work, zero rust, new upholstery, great carpet, and a smog exempt 73 with the old school pink slip. 3/4 ton 4x4 with sm465 and np205, but I can't use it because it won't tow my 5th wheel.

Man I wish I could find something like that. Something like that would be a 3 - 5000 here.
