Re: C20 New to Me

I agree with removing the tint. I did the same thing, just not a tint guy. Truck looks great. Good to see the continuous improvement on your truck.

Re: C20 New to Me

.

Just finding this thread. Nice truck and I like the tasteful things you’re doing with it.

Suspect a truck of this age with little rust is a rarity in your area.

Suprised you haven’t been able to locate the previous owner yet.

While this stuff may be practical in the south, it's a little too "in-the-hood" for where I live.
Got out the old steamer and had at it.
Much better IMHO.
Man with all you are finding wrong with this truck it's a wonder you even bought it and West Virginia is far from the hood but the tint did make it nice to preserve the interior and driving it on a hot day with the a/c on!!

I know what you mean...who says you can't polish a turd?
It's really getting into acceptable condition.

Like I said in the south the tint is probably practical.
Up north it's not.
Regardless it's illegal here.

Your right you can polish a turd but in the end it's still a turd a shiny one but a turd and that truck is far from a turd I like the upgrades you've done it is a very nice truck

Re: C20 New to Me

I hate when threads do not get closed out, so I figured I'd make one last post about this truck.
I sold it a couple months ago.
Bringing it back to close to factory spec really increased the value.
A local guy made me an offer I could not refuse.
It served me well!

Re: C20 New to Me

I'm glad it worked out well for you and it would be interesting to know what all you ended up changing. Thanks for the update. Maybe this means you can snag another one and improve it like you did this one.
