radiator overflow tank

my stock one is leaking, just a little bit, but enough to see it. the bolts that hold it down to the wheel well, underneath are all wet from it.

what would be a good replacement one? an aftermarket universal one would be cheaper i'm sure. any recommendations

Re: radiator overflow tank

I purchased one from my supplier in town here, and I really could not tell the difference from the factory one. I think my supplier buys their parts from the same places as Chevy Duty and LMC.

Re: radiator overflow tank

After several years of looking through junkyards for a new one, I went to the dealer. It was less than $15 for a real GM one for my '86. I would never have guessed it would be so cheap. I would have just bought it when I bought the truck if I had known.

EDIT: With those aftermarket places, you have to be careful. From what I have seen, they sell GM stuff when it isn't being reproduced in the aftermarket, and charge more than the dealer.

Ahhhh. I don't think about the shiny stuff because I don't buy it. I thought you meant the ugly universal kits that the auto parts stores carry. I have one on my '37, and it is UGLY.
