1964 inline 6 230 with 1 barrel carb. . At startup when warmed up it idles at 600 rpm, after driving around a while the rpm at idle goes up to 1,000. Any ideas as to why? It is a points ignition. Thanks

Re: {dle

Possibly a sticking mechanical advance. My '68 C10 with a 250 does that occasionally.
