Re: 24 years later....here we go

New Type, the tailgate trim worked out pretty good, I used the clips too and one stainless rivet on the ends. Trimmed it a hair where it butts up to the center "handle" trim. Cab divider trim snapped right on. I need to get the windshield in and get the interior going. Im about to order some 20" C-57 polished Coys. Yeah while snowboarding down the mountain I was daydreamin' about this pickup. All I like is finishing.....thanks for the comments

I vote for blue panels and blue vinyl/parchment houndstooth.

Of the choices you listed, I'd go with door #2.

Re: 24 years later....here we go

Zoomin so you think blue door panels and a white vinyl with blue houndstooth seat? I have a nice blue headliner and blue visors.

NewType, the carpet fit really good. It was molded to fit and has the jute backing. I ordered it for "gas tank removed" so it goes all the way to the back wall. It has a nice border sewn on it. Its nice carpet.

Re: 24 years later....here we go

The comment I made above was in jest - only because you didn't list it. Being ornery, I guess. But seriously, I like some contrast. If the interior of your cab is blue, then I'd use parchment door panels and seat vinyl, with the seat inserts in blue houndstooth. The dashpad, visors and headliner can all be blue.

Go black or blue on the carpet, depending on your confidence to keep it clean - black is more forgiving, but blue will look better against the parchment.

Re: 24 years later....here we go

Sounds good to me. Scroll up a bit and you'll see the blue carpet. I could always change out the door panels or whatever. I think I'll do that, parchment panels and seat with blue inserts in seat. Awesome, cant wait.

Re: 24 years later....here we go

I really like Zoomin's combination with parchment door panels and seat vinyl. The good thing about this is it can be changed if your not happy. I am thinking about doing parchment on my 72 with the door panels and seat. My interior is ochre and black but the exterior is ochre and white. The black has always bothered me a little but it is factory stock.

I am sure what ever you decide, It is going to look awesome.

I think parchment/body color works great with most colors. Black, red, and blue can look great solid too.

Here's my "ochre"/white combo with the parchment door panels, body color inserts:

I have to chip away at this thing. My polished 20" C57 Coys are ordered too. We'll see how long that takes...They are sending the fronts now, backs are supposed to be sometime in May.

The plan is in motion!

Where are you going to get the door panels?

I was counting on you - I'm going to need panels at some point. I used the panels from one of my other trucks to finish Tom. Those were originals I bought from a board member a couple years ago.
