Can I convert my 68 throttle to 72?

Well I'm looking for some help with my throttle on my truck. I have a 68 gmc on a swb 4x4. I converted it to Howell efi tbi. My current throttle is not going to work with this setup but I think I could make it work with a 72 style throttle. Has anybody done this before? Would this be the best option? Or should I use the 68 style? My rod is way to long now.

Way too long isn't a problem. It's threaded on at least one end. Easy to thread the rod some more or shorten the threads depending on what type rod you got.
Take a pic of it for us.

Am I the only one who laughed at this? Perhaps I don't want to see a pic of his rod...

Kidding aside, you have lots of options to adapt this setup...

You know you set that up, Geezer!

Oh and look at the OP's avatar. Luckily we all have a sense of humor around here.

But I'll respectfully put this discussion back on track...
