It was 1968 and my parents moved from Conover NC back to Charlotte NC. We had moved out of Charlotte right after I was born in 1960 to Spartanburg SC for a few years then to Conover. I meet these 2 guy's and we became best of friends and we always where together. I can remember crying that day when we drove away. I was so mad at my parents for making us move.

Ok so for the reason I'm posting.

When we left Conover NC that day in 1968 I said good bye to my best 2 friends I had at the time. Well after a few phone calls to each other we went our separate ways and over the weeks, months and years we never saw are herd from each other again. After I got my D/L I went looking for them. I found 1 and we spent a few hrs talking and then again we went our ways. I found out the other friend's parents had divorced and they all moved away and he joined the military. I finally found him 1 year ago and have been talking to him ever since on face book. Yes I found him through face book so it is a good thing.
Sunday 12-16-18 we all 3 are meeting together to talk and hope we can start our long friendship back up again. It's been 50 years since we all 3 have been together. I'm looking forward to this meeting and hoping it turns into a long time friendship again.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Sounds like a cool get together. Funny how things happen. I like these kinds of stories.

What a great thing happening. You retire and not long after that you are connecting with childhood friends from before you ever knew you'd have that job you were at for 40 years!

Unhappy Re: 50 years ago...

Well I guess it's going to have to wait until after Christmas now. He messaged me this morning and said he had to work tomorrow!
