Hey guys,
Can I get your feedback on the aftermarket one piece side windows?
brand you went with and why?
Power or not?
if you would do it again etc?

Is it worth it or not?
I want to make sure they will last and not just be that they look cool but don't perform well.

I installed a kit made by "one piece products" on a 1971 GMC
I would never do it again. Biggest waste of money I ever spent.
Installation was a major pain, and the glass never rolled up without binding, or fit properly. The window tracks were flimsy, and one broke after a couple of years. Always had wind noise/water leaks.
I will stay with original glass and vent windows from now on.

I agree with Greasey. They are not right whether they fit/work well or not, but opinions may not really count much. The older crowd that grew up when all cars had vent windows still miss them, but the younger gen never got the chance to get used to them and think the single glass is "normal". I tend to lean towards more structure/function equals more class and it is "classic".

Vent windows are the original 260 air - 2 vents open at 60 miles an hour . One piece side windows look Hokey at best . They take away from the classic look of the truck and I really have no idea why anyone would change them out ? Usually seen on trucks that look like the owner had a free gift card from JC Whitney . Just my opinion use whatever you want .

I used a non-power Brothers one piece glass kit about 15 years ago. I twisted wrenches for a living and had a lot of trouble getting them mounted about as correct as I could get them. They rattled like all get out and were tough to roll up even after switching to new regulators.

Its your choice, but IMO...

The one piece systems are still in their development stage...even after all this time...

The doors are not designed to have the vent window brace section removed,,,the open up badly over time and rattle....

Somehow, every one I have seen simply doesnt look right....like a nose on the back of your head....might work but just wont look right

I kinda like mine but I do get why some people don’t. But that’s the best part of getting to build what makes you smile!

Many nay-sayers on the one piece, but I love mine. One Piece Products was my choice because it was glass all the way around. If you look at Brothers kit, you have this small triangle piece in the corner. No problems with install and it seals like a glove. Guess I got a good batch kit.

I like my One Piece Products windows.

Sure, they were not easy to install, but if you have ever tried to reinstall your vent window assembly it is about as difficult.

My truck was definitely not stock when we purchased it, and I wanted something different for the build.

My rear glass is also flush fit without a gasket. Eventually I hope to install a flush fit front glass as well.

If I ever find a really nice stock C10 survivor to rebuild I would keep it 100% stock.

"Don't crush them, restore them".
