72 c10 lowering

I need to level my chevy 72 c10 with rear coil springs (no camper special) truck out i dont really wanna lower it but i want to lower the back end just enough were its level with the front end
Anyway i could do that without replacing any springs? And it rides smooth now i would like to keep it that way

If you are talking 1-2" you could do it with blocks and longer u bolts.

Re: 72 c10 lowering

I would get some lower springs, probably the easiest way actually and the benefit of new springs.

Re: 72 c10 lowering

Just be aware that the original springs are going to have some sag from age. You might buy a spring that is 1 or 2" lower and it might just barely lower it. I would at least measure your ride height and check against factory specs. You would know then what springs to get. Sorry for rambling.

Blocks are quick, easy, and cheaper than springs with a guaranteed drop of what you have now. Either build your own with some steel tubing .125" or thicker and have new u bolts 2 " longer maid at a spring shop or order a kit from Borris at way 2 low.

I think he is referring to the member Borris. Username way2lo2

Most major distributors sell lowering blocks...

Here is one (only because I'm shopping for other parts now)
