Re: My 57 Pro Street

Well I did some more work on the license plate.
I didn't like the first piece I made for it so I made another ( the first one wasn't square).
Did a layout of where it would go drilled some holes and then conected them.

I still have to finalize the final depth of it but you can get a little idea of what it will look like.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

The UPS guy droped this off at the house today.
Found it at Pirate Jack for $89.00 which was way cheaper than anywhere else.
Seems to be a real nice piece and their customer service was very good.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

Did some more work on the plate mounting.
The pics are self explanatory.
I just have to do some finish welding and grinding and it'll be good to go.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

The UPS guy dropped off some more goodies.
These are the upper and lower control arms I'm going to use.
They are made by SPC.
The ball joints are tall polished Howe units.
The lower A-arms will drop the suspension 1" over what the stock ones would set at.

Hey Kim,

It looks like you are really picking up the pace on your build. Nice job on the bed and the goodies look great.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

I seen a bed close to your's on a truck on e-bay. Did you see it? It was red and chopped and really nice. I think it was in Dallas.

No I didn't see that one. I did see one years ago similar and that's what gave me the idea to do mine.
It's a work in progress that keeps changing as I go along in the build. I pretty much have it the way I want it now and just have to do a little finish welding and then get it primed.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

Thought I would post some updates on what I have been doing to my truck.
Pic #1 is a hydroboost unit out of an 05 chevy truck.
The next 4 pics show a bracket I made to mount the unit on the frame.
The bracket will mount just under the back of the cab witch will put the hydroboost and the master cylinder behind the cab for easy access.
I will connect it to the brake pedal with some DOM tube.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

These next 2 pics show the finished bracket and unit bolted to it.
I had to modify the mounting flange that was on the unit to work with my bracket.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

I also had to modify the push rod on the unit so it would attach to the pedal.
I cut the end off the push rod and rounded it off.
I got a 3/8x24 grade 8 bolt and some 3/8 ID DOM tube.
I cut the head off the bolt and rounded that end also.
