Ignition Switch Issue, Starter Issue? Intermittent crank.

I am having an issue starting my truck and was wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem. Problem occurs hot or cold start. When I turn the key all the way from the off position to the crank position without stopping the starter never turns. I must stop in the on position, wait 5-10 seconds then turn the key and the starter will run 80% of the time. Some times it takes a a few turns of the key from on to crank position before it cranks. This is my second new BWD brand switch from O'Reilly Auto.

Will your truck crank over if you go strait from off to crank in a single turn? Every other car I owned would.

What do you think? Cheap faulty Chinese switches?

Thanks!

Run a test light to the neutral safety switch gozinta side and recheck the no-start condition. If it is the ignition switch, you will know right off. If not, just keep moving down the wires until you find it. I'd more suspect a dead spot on the starter, personally, since it's taken more than one switch without a cure. In my case it turned out to be the ignition switch. I bought an allegedly US-made switch from NAPA.
