Just stumbled across your build. Very nice truck and excellent choice in parts.

Any updates?

I've got almost 3k miles on the truck now and it's been an up and down adventure. Started out with the rearend exploding with about 500 miles on the truck, it was the original 12 bolt so I had plans of rebuilding it not long after getting it on the road. It's now been replaced with a Moser 12 bolt with 3.73s and a true-trac posi.

The truck has a lot of squeaks and rattles but I could never diagnose anything since the exhaust was always so ungodly loud. So last month I took it to D3 Performance Engineering and they completed an exhaust system out the back so now I'll be able to start doing some other troubleshooting.

The window rubber and guide felts were dried or worn out, so my brother got the windows all torn apart today and we'll be rebuilding them next weekend along with installing a bunch of sound deadening. The factory vacuum brake booster and MC weren't working to well with the Wilwood brakes and idle vacuum from the 5.3 with the cam so we're swapping it over to a Wilwood manual MC to hopefully get the brakes up to par.

Sorry I don't have any pictures, but the truck has been at my brothers in Houston for about the last month or 2 for the exhaust and then with the holidays. I'll be up there this next weekend and I'll try to get some pictures of the exhaust and other changes.

Haven't posted any updates in quite some time. Wasn't driving the truck for a while after the elevel controller died, but after getting it replaced under warranty I've been trying to drive it at least once a week. Have about 8k miles one the truck but hope to increase that quickly soon.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
