I Bought This GMC Today

I I bought a 71 GMC today. It needs some finishing but it's a pretty nice truck. I bought it without those wheels, will probably just run rallyes. I will get it home on Monday and post some decent pics. I'm pretty sure it was lust at first sight.

Re: I Bought This GMC Today

Congratulations on buying that beauty! I'm glad to see another GMC they seem a little scarce. I think its best that you skipped on the wheels, they look nice but they aren't perfect.

Re: I Bought This GMC Today

I think I will keep the truck as stock as possible. It needs a lot of detailing and finishing, but is a good truck with a lot of new pieces. Rallye wheels just look right on these trucks, those wheels would look better if they were 18"s or even 20"s but the 22"s are just too big for my taste. It could end up a great daily driver or could go to the next level, we'll see.

Just saw the rallye pic, cool.

Those 22's with the rubber bands look like wagon wheels. I like your idea way better. NIce truck BTW.

Re: I Bought This GMC Today

I don't know what gear it has. As far as tire selection, I'm going to run 8" rallyes so probably 275/60 or 255/70s, first thought. Tomorrow I will get it home and assess the project, hope I did good.
