Interior Question-Newb Problems

First off i did a search for all of those that want to suggest that first.... to no avail. I ordered a new dash pad and steering wheel in green because I knew the blue wasn't the right color that classic industries offered. Now I realize the parts aren't green either. Are there parts this color available? Have to die?

Thanks for any input.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

You do not need to die. Your interior isn't worth going that far, is it? So the colors or off a bit. Find some other, less drastic solution please.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

Parts hunting is a 'patience game'.
If you haven't found the correct colour and type of parts yet...don't sweat it.
Take out a regular membership and post up what you are searching for as 'WTB....wanted to buy' in the parts section.
The membership pays for itself in spades if you are putting one of these trucks on the road and restoring it.

My Two bits.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

I really don't think the green will look that bad and since i already have it. I'll probably just go ahead and use it. Just curious as what color it actually is and if new parts are available.

Your SPID tag inside the glove box may list the paint color.
I recently installed a new dash pad from Classic, it fit well, but you will have to pull out the glove box and the instrument cluster to get at all the fasteners.
I have been to Green Forest while on a canoe trip in Arkansas. Very pretty country where you live!

The color is one thing... but that truck must be fast as all get out! Scared the poop out of someone!

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. LMAO. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the picture of the seat. Of course, I am too refined of a gentleman to have ever said it out loud. Yeah right.
Tooo funny.
I love it.

Medium green is the color I have too. I love it. I don't know about the dash but I have white and it looks good in my opinion. Maybe something to consider. Anyone ever painted a dash?

My truck is Medium Green with a black top. Has a factory black steering wheel and black dash pad.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

I have the same color on my 69. I was having the same issue with the blue steering wheel and everyone thought I was loosing my mind. I'm pretty sure they came green and have faded to the blue color. On mine once I removed the horn button and pulled it out underneath was the original green under the washer and underneath. I ended up changing everything in the dark green color (dashpad, sunvisors, steeringwheel, and door panels) to black.

From what I have found, no one has the correct color green for these trucks. just the olive green thats available.

Thanks for your reply. I have yet to see a teal offering of any parts.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

here is what mine looked like when I first got it. I've seen a few others like this and everyone had thought the wheels had been switched out. I am not convinced that's the case!

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

My 67 Burban is 503 green and the dash pad appears to have been the darker green under the gray paint that was on it. I replaced it with a new gray one to keep with the PO's gray and green theme. It didn't have the correct wheel or column in it when I got it so I went with Trim Black.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

So apparently some of these rigs just have no rhyme or reason as to colors. Best I can tell.

Re: Interior Question-Newb Problems

Why not go with black ? Black goes with everything and looks good with green.
