1972 wheel question

What types/ brands of aftermarket wheels would be period correct for a 1972 GMC K1500?
Appreciate any thoughts

Re: 1972 wheel question

White spoke "wagon" wheels or maybe the five hole Ansen Sprint mags come to mind

Re: 1972 wheel question

So if you want to stay period you will have to go with white steel wheels with the small caps. Turbines. Slotted mags. White or chrome spoke wagon wheels. Western bullets ... might try a google vintage 4x4 wheels.

Re: 1972 wheel question

GM put spoke wagon wheels on some of their pickups in the late 70's and early 80's, takes the same center cap as a rally wheel, looks pretty good (to me).

Re: 1972 wheel question

the old slot mags look great on our trucks and were "period" I had to take them off of my 72K20 because they were 16.5" and no one makes 33" tires for them anymore, those 6 lug 15"wheels shouldnt be too hard to find for your truck, check craigslist and swapmeets
