Thank you all for your kind words. I was actually in the bay area working during the fire.

The saddest part was my truck was running and drivable. But I wasnt there to move it.

I'm actively looking for a interior place (shop/or space in a warehouse I can rent ) so I can store it (work on rebuilding it)

It was mentioned before- is the metal of the body in some way compromised such that the repair work performed on it wouldn't be worth it? Something to think about. It may well be totaled, sad to say.

Every bit of any part that needs grease and has a neoprene cup on it, and every bit of grease, for that matter, has to be long gone. I can't imagine that there is any brake fluid in the system, either. I'm not trying to be mean in any way; just pointing out that you may not ever be able to make this thing right. My opinion is to take what the insurance company will give you and walk away. No matter what happens, this situation stinks. Again, sorry to see what happened to your possessions.

Dayum, sorry for your loss! The only upside I can think of is if your truck's gotta go, and least it went in some giant natural conflagration instead of sideswiped by a drunk coming home from the bar or something like that. Not that it should make a difference, but it can...

Ok, after being able to get a good look at my truck - it didnt get as hot as it looks.

-non of the body panels are warped except the roof
-the frame is still black
-whole drive train is good to go (engine has part melted intake and carb/ can still make out 14in k&n filter.
-trans seems to be untouched
-aluminum radiater not melted

so, i dont think they make a panel for the roof itself, is fixing the the warpped roof somthing a decent body shop could do?

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear it's not as bad as first thought! Did you find a place to keep it inside while you work on it?

No idea about fixing the roof, others with experience will have to reply to that.

no its still sitting with tarps over it (its on jack stands) i cleaned up the cab a little but other than that. its been slow. progress.

i was lucky to find a apt after the fire so working on it is not really easy at the moment.

i wanna get a electrical pole put in at the property hopefully and that would help a lot.

For wiring harness factory stock, give these guys a shot. I just received a heater only harness from them and I am impressed.

That would be M and H wiring, Brothers Trucks carries their product, you can order their stuff either way.

Oh, yes, by the way, Glad to see you survived and your your keeping the faith. That would be a hard emotional blow, not to mention all the work you lost.
